There are lots of reasons to be hopeful, the momentum is building quickly and much of the ground work has already been laid…it’s mostly a case of embracing existing solutions.
Despite slow progress on global issues such as poverty and world hunger, climate change is different and here is why we’re going to make it.
Despite slow progress on global issues such as poverty and world hunger, climate change is different and here is why we’re going to make it.
Our Interests Align - No matter your background, rich or poor, we all stand to gain by stabilising global temperatures. COP26 saw increased compromise and collaboration from world leaders and we believe that trend is set to continue. Never in human history has it been in everyone’s best interest to address the same problem, but that is becoming increasingly true…the power of that should not be underestimated.
|
The Greatest Minds - As the importance of addressing this issue grows, more and more of the world's greatest minds will focus their attention on the issue. The history of human ingenuity, particularly when life is on the line, should give us hope.
|
Technology & Innovation - Advancements in technology are increasing exponentially and as this issue becomes more of a priority, we should expect many more significant breakthroughs in the decades ahead. There almost certainly won’t be a “magic bullet” to address climate change (the solution is to chip away from all angles) but technology, alongside nature, are our greatest allies in this fight. We’re genuinely excited to see what people come up with.
|
Our Understanding of Ourselves - We understand ourselves much better than we ever have done before. We can learn from the mistakes of the past and there is a solution to the human element of climate change.

There are good reasons to be hopeful but it is important that this doesn’t distract from the task ahead. Unfortunately, there is a lot to do and we all have a part to play in driving the transition to a sustainable future.
