How does this make a difference?
Many of the key changes required to address climate change need to be driven by governments (particularly incentivising a shift towards a clean economy... TAKE ACTION here). The problem is that won’t happen unless there is enough pressure in the political system and we all have a part to play in creating that. Ultimately governments, corporations and organisations are made up of people… and their decisions, along with our choices as consumers, will determine the level of warming and our future. What actions are you pressing for within your community/ organisation/ political party etc.?
Impact- the impact is hard to quantify. But given the importance of achieving enough political pressure, we believe this is the biggest impact you can make. Not least because it feeds into other areas; the more informed we are, the more likely we are to prioritise making changes (in all aspects of our life). Your actions and words can inspire others to make positive changes, meaning your impact goes beyond the carbon savings you can make personally.
